Thursday, February 13, 2014 A hand-made carriage

Mikhail Kazenkin is a former businessman and poultry farmer from Penza. Now, being a resident of Podmoskovye (Moscow Oblast), he finds it easy to build a carriage by hand. He has learnt how to make carriages back in Penza as Mikhail has always been a passionate “horse-lover”.

His very first “machine” welded from old iron has gained the coveted shape of a vintage carriage. Then Michael used to give his fellow horse-lovers the carts he made. But when one of his machines was sold for 3 000 rubles, Mikhail Kazenkin felt the “business streak”. Starting his business in Podmoskovye, the newly-made cart-wright equipped his workshop and placed his first advert.

Mikhail Kazenkin’s Carriage Workshop has already been manufacturing carriages for over 20 years. During this period masters have gained a lot of experience and have made many interesting models. Each of them have gone through challenges and break-ins. Mikhail Kazenkin’s Carriage Workshop offers carriages, old-sledges, sleighs, carts for horses and ponies in stock or customized.

There are also a wide range of drop-top horse-drawn carriages, standard carriages and carts for rent; a large lineup of drop-top horse-drawn carriages for horses and ponies varies from the simple ones meant for everyday work to the rich ones designed of genuine leather and ornamented with gilt. It is always possible to come and have a test drive of a product.

Within Equiros-Professional’2014, the International conference and professional fair, the workshop will present newly-designed products made by hand, which are already licensed. Mikhail Kazenkin’s Carriage Workshop provides product warranty within 12 months for each item.
