On April 4-7, 2013 Sokolniki Exhibition and Convention Centre, Moscow accommodated Equiros Professional, an international conference and professional fair organized by Moskau Messe and officially supported by the RF Ministry of Agriculture, the Moscow Equestrian Sports Federation, the Equine Veterinary Association, etc.
The Golden Mustang, Equine World, Equine Park, EquiLife Online were the professional periodicals acting as the event’s media partners.
Equiros Professional is the industry’s main event, reflecting the latest trends in the equine world and uniting Russian and foreign leading manufacturers.

It is also noteworthy that the following foreign companies demonstrated their products at the event: Schockemohle Sports GMBH (Germany), Horse Country (Italy), White Mane LLC and Fra-mil LLC (Belarus), 2 HORSES (Belgium), and SMILE SADDLERY CO., LTD (China) debuting on the Russian market.
A series of scientific and educational events took place within the framework of the business agenda, one of the most important being the round table on the Russian Sports Horse-Breeding Current Problems, gathering together horse-breeders, pedigree clubs’ representatives, sportsmen, and referees.
A few core issues were submitted to discussion, Horse Standards (Valentina Martyanova, a dressage referee, gave food for thought to many horse-breeders who should pay more attention to current dressage regulations), Breed Standards (Yevgenia Vysotskaya, a triathlon sportswoman, spurred the realization that a triathlon buyer needs a purer breed), Test Standards (Lyudmila Malinovskaya [Vivat Equestrian Sports Club] raised the question of the necessity to introduce changes into the existing test systems, in particular, to involve sportsmen anв equestrian sports referees in young animals’ testing) among them.
The following propositions were brought forward within the political section of the round table: 1) to introduce a separate rating for Russian horses to certain tournaments; 2) to organize inter-breed springarten horse-jumping contests for 3-4 year old horses on the basis of one of the equestrian sports clubs in the Moscow Region; 3) to organize seminars for horse-breeders involving competent referees.
Within the framework of the Thoroughbred Arab Horses Council meeting Aleksandr Belov (Stavropol Krai), whose horses dominate not only Russian, but also European horse-racing stadiums, was awarded the Best Horse-Breeder Prize from WAHO Trophy.
The First Veterinary Horse Aid, a lecture for horse owners (Mobile Horse Hospital, LTD), Show Jumping Contest Refereeing (The Moscow Equestrian Sports Federation), Stewarding in Show Jumping and Distance Tests (The Moscow Equestrian Sports Federation), Equestrian Sports Team Budget : Legal Grounds, Financing Resources, Expense items, Ways of Optimization (Moskau Messe), Horse Photography for Beginners (Moskau Messe), Horse Photography, Specific Features of Different Genres for Advanced Photographers (Moskau Messe), Sports Horse Professional Equipment, Expert Advice (ARGO, LTD, Schockemuhle Sports) – all those seminars, lectures, and master-classes were a huge success.
There can be no doubt that the 4 days of the Fixed Event Period were informative and fascinating!
