The key event of the motorcycle off-season – Moto Winter-2016 Exhibition – starts this week. It will be held between November 18 and 20 in exhibit halls 7a and 4.1 in Sokolniki Exhibition and Convention Centre. It's a chance to see various two-wheeled vehicles from key global manufacturers at a single venue: motorcycles, scooters, snowmobiles, quad bikes and side-by-sides. Featured brands include BMW, Yamaha, Kawasaki, Triumph, MV Agusta, KTM, BRP and Kayo. The exhibition will also feature gear, tuning, spare parts and consumables for all sorts of two-wheeled vehicles. Russian products will be demonstrated in a separate section, which expands year on year. For the first time ever a unique collection of antique motorbikes from Vyacheslav Sheyanov’s Motoworld Museum will be on display at the exhibition. Many of the demonstrated heavy bikes that date back to the 1930-1940, now exist in a single original only. This selection includes the legendary British Brough Superior, Lawrence of Arabia’s favourite brand, an exclusive Japanese Kurogane, as well as Italian, German, French, Danish and even Swiss motorbikes. On Saturday, November 19, the exhibition visitors will have a chance to take a ride around Sokolniki park in a sidecar of the Japanese Kurogane motorbike. For more details see here.

But Moto Winter is not only about booths and exhibits – over the course of all three days seminars, conferences and speeches will continuously take place to discuss the motorcycle market dynamics, development of Russian motor racing and culture, common issues of the two-wheeled community and traffic safety. The events will involve top officials from the capital traffic police and Department of Transportation, and top managers of key two-wheeled vehicles importers. Traditionally the exhibition will also host a tourist conference featuring travel stories and awarding of the Iron Butt Association certificates to the most enduring long-distance travellers.

The key attraction for the visitors is the City for Bikers exhibition quest supported by the Moscow Department of Transportation and Russian office of BMW Motorrad. Grand prize for the winner – a BMW G 310 R motorbike. For details see here.

Moto Winter will suit all ages – a racetrack shaped bouncy castle will hold run bike races for children under the motor racing rules. Tickets are available on the day of the event in the exhibition centre box office at the price of 500 RUB, or at a discounted price of 400 RUB in advance online.

Moto Winter-2016 will be held in exhibit halls 7a and 4.1 of Sokolniki Exhibition and Convention Centre. Free parking is provided for bikers, car parking is provided on a fee basis.
