At 1pm on Sunday, the 18th of October an exciting pony-show will take place in the big riding hall. This year the audience will have a chance for the first time ever to see many horse breeds that aren’t full size, but rather in the ‘mini’ versions! The largest pony farms and clubs of Moscow, the regions of Moscow, Leningrad, Tver, and Pskov will present various breeds of pony. You will be able to see the best of the best representatives of breeds, including the National and Reserve champions of Russia, as well as some of the best stallions. The presentation won’t be held in the same way as a typical zoological event, but as a bright spectacular demonstration of the possibilities of using every breed with costumed musical performances with saddled and team ponies, dressage, and cotillion. During the presentation you will hear short stories about the origins and standards of these breeds, as well as the possibilities of their use in the modern world. The audience will see not only well-known breeds of ponies, such as the Shetland, the Appaloosa, and the Welsh, but also those absolutely new to our country: the German classical and the Fell pony, and of course we won’t leave out tiny miniature horses.
After the show and breed presentations there will be a costumed musical kur among pony riders. The pony programme in the big riding hall will finish with the competition in riding round barrels for ponies of up to 100 cm at the widest.
