The Institute of Horse Breeding was announced a partner of the upcoming autumn exhibition, so it will take a big role in the Equiros’2014 programme.
The All-Russian Research Institute of Horse Breeding (VNIIK) was established in 1930s to promote the utilization of horses in agriculture.
The Institute of Horse Breeding is working on the development of methods to improve the quality of the horse population, scientifically proven technologies of breeding, horse growing and training, and the effectiveness increase of horses’ utilization.
The Institute of Horse Breeding is the main selective center specializing in work with the main factory horse breeds in Russia. It is also a member of many international horse breeding and research organizations.
The institute is the only organization in Russia which provides registration in the State Stud Book.
The institute operates a genetics bank, an equestrian center, the koumiss industry, alongside the strong points in Astrakhan, Nalchik, Krasnodar, Rostov and Barnaul and a laboratory at the Central Moscow Hippodrome.
