Friday, July 04, 2014 Sunday evening with Alexey Glukharev at Equiros

Alexey Glukharev, famous Russian horse artist, and a good friend and partner of Equiros.

It is a nice coincidence that Alexey Glukharev celebrates his jubilee during the autumn exhibition, which will be held (October 16th – 19th, 2014). On this occasion the Sokolniki Exhibition and Convention Centre, the exhibition’s organizer, and the birthday boy are working on an exclusive programme that will include: a large art exhibition to showcase the master’s works and a master-class and lectures for both beginners and professional artists. Equine and music shows with the participation of the Russian troikas, pony show jumping competitions, extreme driving performances, and many more entertaining activities are scheduled as part of the programme for Sunday, October 19th.

The author will award winners of the equine programme with prizes at the end of the holiday.

Sokolniki Exhibition and Convention Centre welcome everyone to participate in the holiday from October 16th – 19th, 2014!

For referential use:

Alexey Nikolaevich Glukharev (Moscow, Russia) is a Russian artist, painter, graphic artist, and teacher.

“A horse is a creature perfectly combining the most wonderful qualities: strength and speed, point and beauty, the reliability of a fellow soldier and loyalty of a friend in hard work. The fate of mankind would have been quite different without the horse, its historical role, and its spiritual significance.”

Examining the works by Alexey Glukharev, I would like to pay special attention to the most important of his abilities: the ability to reflect incredible diversity of the horse life and the equestrian environment itself. Breeds and colors, equipment and means of usage, warriors and athletes, heroes of fairytales and legend – he reveals it all in the prettiest and most artistic way”.

The horse and art have no limits. We met in 1993. We know a lot of artists painting horses, but just a few of them have such profound knowledge of horses as he does: we got interested in his particular attention to details and certainty; his exactness regarding horses’ exterior features and the way he implements all of this knowledge is simply fascinating. Alexey is a true fan of horses and he rides as well…
