Equiros-Professional, the 5th International exhibition and fair organized by Sokolniki Exhibition and Convention Centre with the support of the All-Russian Research Institute of Horse Breeding and the Equine Veterinary Association, took place on April 3rd – 6th, 2014. The event traditionally takes place half a year prior to Equiros exhibition and show, the main event in the equine industry. Over 5 000 visitors attended the exhibition and the business programme which lasted four days. Around 56 manufacturers and suppliers participated at the project.
 

The geography of Equiros-Professional extended again. This year’s Equiros-Professional had Turkmenistan among the participants for the first time ever. The country was presented by a separate stand called Atlars of Turkmenistan (the Turkmen horses). At the stand, all the guests had a chance to learn about the habits and peculiarities of horse breeding in this country, examine unique national ornaments and accessories for horsemen, and of course, find out all about the unique and worldwide famous Akhal-Teke horse breed.
 

Actual Problems of Methodical and Legal Support of Public and Private Equestrian Schools for Children and Young People, the All-Russian Research and Practice Conference organized by the Russian Equestrian Federation with support of the Ministry of Sport of the Russian Federation has become the headliner of the event. During the conference experts, sportsmen and members of equestrian associations discussed current problems in the field of equestrian sports.
 

At the moment there are exhibition space sales going on within the framework of the autumn Equiros exhibition and show. More than twenty companies signed association agreements during the Equiros-Professional run. According to the statistics, the popularity of the Equiros exhibition and show is constantly growing, starting with 2011 (11,970 visitors in 2011, 13,378 visitors in 2012, 15,874 visitors in 2013). Sokolniki Exhibition and Convention Centre awaits around 18,000 visitors from Moscow and regions of Russia, as well as foreign guests to come to the event from October 16th – 19th, 2014.
