From August 29th – September 1st, 2013, Sokolniki Exhibition and Convention Centre hosted EQUIROS, the 15th International Equestrian Exhibition and Fair combining business events and exhibition performances.
The exposition was honoured by one hundred and seventy companies from seven countries including Russia, Belarus, Germany, Holland, Great Britain, Portugal, and Pakistan. It was also attended by such equine associations as: the Russian Equestrian Sports Federation, the Moscow Equestrian Sports Federation, the Equestrian Fancy Riding Federation, the National Federation of Therapeutic Horse Riding and Equestrian Sports for People with Special Abilities.
The Business Agenda featured: an extreme driving show-contest, fancy riding exhibition performance and master class, the Equiros Horse Parade, equestrian vaulting performance and open training program and show jumping master-class. Traditionally, one of the brightest events of the Main Riding Hall was the 11th Arabian Horses Show Championship of Russia. The Business Agenda also included a number of events that have become the face of Equiros: Horse Disease: Diagnostics, Prevention, Treatment, the 14th International Theoretical and Practical Veterinarian Conference organized by the Equine Veterinary Association; and Photographing a Horse, seminar. The brand new events included: Hippotherapy. Method of Restoration and Health Improvement for People with Special Abilities, conference; State and Private Sports Schools for Children and Teenagers. Problems and Solutions, conferences organized by the Russian Equestrian Sports Federation; Ponies: Breed Standards and Registration Terms, seminars organized by the All-Russian Horse Breeding Research Institute and Verona Equestrian Sports Club. All vigourously attended by professionals and amateurs alike. The total turnout exceeded twelve thousand five hundred people.
The Make a Hat – Save a Kid! charity event traditionally organized by the Life Line charity foundation and ZABEGINA Ltd was another memorable moment.
Horse lovers and experts together with people of artistic professions crafted pretty hats from work-pieces and various improvised materials. Those hats were then sold to the creators and guests.
All the four days of the Fixed Event Period were as eventful and interesting as any.
