Sokolniki Park is hosting the equestrian festival EquiFest for the whole family and equestrian exhibition Equiros from today until September 1st.
Ekaterina Druz, professional photographer specializing in horses photographing will present the World of Horses photo exhibition for the guests.
On Saturday and Sunday the guests of the festival will be able to marvel at a real horse-drawn carriages demonstration. Historical carriages of the 18th-19th centuries and modern sports ones, including carriages harnessed with the tiniest horses on the planet, mini horse,will be passing along the park’s roads.
Evgeniya Nazarova, Russian designer, will present a unique author's collection of ladies' hats on Saturday, 31st of August. Fine hats is an invariable attribute for ladies at the races, horse races and equestrian competitions of a high level.
The Olympic route exhibition will present the history of show jumping.
Visitors will get the chance to see the main kinds of barriers, which overcome riders, performing at one of the most spectacular kinds of equestrian sports: show jumping.
The holiday will feature show programmes, master classes in crafts and folk arts, performances of historical reconstruction clubs Budimir, Russian land, Medieval City, The martial art of cavalry, as well as performances of ethnic Indians from Ecuador. Concerts and dancing shows will take place at the Festival Square in the evenings of Saturday and Sunday.
